In a former life, I was a project manager and a planner. As a former planner and now a creative writer working on my own memoir, I bring a unique perspective to the world of editing and book design.

Training
I completed my Proofreading Certification from the Proofreading Academy (now known as Knowadays) in June 2020. I always had a knack for spotting errors and finding ways to reword text in a clear and concise manner. The Proofreading Academy was both wonderful and humbling. It showed me gaps in my knowledge and the tools to bridge them.
I highly recommend this self-paced training. If you complete the final exam with a score of 80% or higher, you are guaranteed paid work.
All Knowadays courses are certified as Continuing Professional Development (CPD). This means that any Knowadays graduate has an internationally recognised certification that meets the requirements of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

I recieved the Certificate of Writing from the University of Iowa in 2022. The University of Iowa has been recognized as the #1 ranked creative writing program in the world. The writing, editing and proofreading skills I gained here have dramatically improved my writing and helped me identify how to improve others’ writing.
I am currently taking courses at the Urban Writers’ Retreat. The Urban Writing Retreat has been recognized by The Guardian, Mslexia, The Writing Magazine and more. I’m really enjoying their most recent class This is Not a Course About Writing. Highly recommended!
My Skills
I edit novels, poems, academic papers, resumes and more for individuals, universities, and small businesses. I lead two online writing communities where we write, share and critique each other’s work. I also offer classes for everything from self-editing to challenging your inner critic.
I am from the United States, now living in Munich where I am writing my first memoir, living my second memoir, and writing poetry and personal essays.
I’m a sucker for fine words. The world needs more of them.
